I'll be honest with you guys, but I didn't think The Mitchell Report was going to bother me one bit. Then I read this:
A former New York Yankee strength trainer says information he supplied to the George Mitchell investigation regarding supplying Roger Clemens
with steroids is included in the Mitchell report scheduled to be
released later today, a source close to the trainer told ESPN The
Magazine's Shaun Assael. Brian McNamee, who worked for the Yankees and as a personal trainer for Clemens and Yankee teammates Andy Pettitte,
also told investigators that on at least one occasion, Clemens was in
possession of steroids from another supplier, the source said.
Clemens...you bastard! That's it, no Hall of Fame for you. Take away the Cy Young Awards. Banish him from the record books. Can the Astros void his 'personal services' portion of the contract they signed with him way back when? If so, do it. He's not going into the Monument Park at Yankee Stadium, he's not having his number retired.
Maybe I was just being naive when others talked about Clemens being on performance enhancers but for some reason I thought his work ethic, grit and determination was what set him apart. Did you see the workouts he was doing on ESPN? Now I see I was wrong. I guess I could have seen this coming when he came unglued against the A's in the playoffs when he played for Boston. Or maybe when he threw the bat at Piazza. Or maybe the countless other times when he came in high and tight to prove a point. I thought that was part of his bravado. I thought he was an ass kicker. I see now that he was just a bum.
I'm really disappointed right now. I'm happy that The Mitchell Report was produced and I'm glad names came out but...I was never expecting this. I figured it would just be no-name players and other guys I could care less about. Not players that I thought were once in a generation talents.

My first thoughts on the report was that it would be bias because of Mitchell's ties with the Red Sox, ESPN and baseball in general. I thought that is was more for show than anything maybe evening helping Selig hide a bit. But as much as I didn't want to pay attention to the report, I now wait for the opportunity to see it. It became interesting by throwing Clemens out there who I have always hated. I'm not sure what comes out of this other than the fact that 3rd party drug testing idea that supposedly was recommended in the report. I'm sure Congress wouldn't have been too far behind in making baseball achieve that decision if not for this report. Who knows what this ultimately will achieve. It's just fun to see that ass in Clemens on there.
Deadspin has a list with Wood, Prior and Farnsworth on it:

I expect several prominent present or former yanks to be names today. At the very least Clemens, Giambi, and Sheffield.
I've seen speculation on a couple other names but we'll see.
It's funny that the first two names leaked were both Yankees.
I heard Varitek was named, he's the only Sox player I've seen.
Something we really have to keep in mind is that this report is not gospel. Mitchell had to put names in there to justify the tens of millions of dollars he's wasted, but this is far from a court of law.
Apparently, Pujols is on the list as well.
This is really going to ruin the game for a lot of fans...unfortunately it needs to be done.
I just hope that there is a couple teams with no players named so I can start looking for a new favorite team if mine is corrupt!!
Just read that the guy that gave up Clemens also gave up Pettitte and Segui.

"then pen still works"
Nomar is on there, Trot Nixon, Johnny Damon, Tavarez, Varitek, Garces, and Carl Everett are all former or current Red Sox players. Lenny Dykstra is on that list so I'm just throwing it out there without a timeframe.
I'm not sure this needed to happen. If there was actual proof that all of these players used roids, then maybe, but from what I've heard, this is a lot hearsay.
I don't know exactly what the report is going to accomplish, other than exposing a lot of guys to criticism. We know there were roids in baseball, the question that needs to be answered is how are they going to make sure it isn't still happening, and isn't going to happen again in the future.
is it wrong that i'm more interested in the fallout than the actual list of names?
Woods and Prior are good examples of why you don't do steroids - it seems to make your shoulder explode.
I put up a new post for the list and report itself instead of just Clemens so feel free to throw the comments that way.
Did any of you guys ever LOOK at Clemens and how his body type went from normal to HUGE? How could anyone not know the guy was juicing? It's absurd -the whole fricking sports world is a joke.
