Even though the season was going down the drain when Boylan took over, he did his best to turn it into a full fledged circus. Players stopped listening to him, stopped showing up to practices, were late to shoot-around's and pretty much stopped putting forth too much effort. Still, Boylan did give some of the young players some burn and I suppose that's a good thing? I'd imagine most of the veteran players are happy that Boylan is gone and finally this team can, once again, act like a professional basketball team.
General Manager John Paxson wanted to make a quick decision and he did just that. Some people think it was because he was tired of looking at Boylan's face and others think it's because the Bulls want to make a run at former Pacers/Pistons coach Rick Carlisle before the Milwaukee Bucks get a chance. Either way, the Bulls will be watching the playoffs from home and preparing for the draft lottery.
Scott Skiles is still available.
Oh boy. I think the Bulls are more likely to re-hire Bill Cartwright than Skiles. You'll be seeing a lot of Scotty soon from what I hear.
