NCAA Tournament Bracket - Hoosiernation (Commenter)

HN picks.JPGHere we go with another valued commenter who's willing to put his money where his mouth is (even though no money is being exchanged). Following are words of wisdom from the man himself.

I took 3 minutes max to fill this year's bracket out.
It's hard to pick upsets this year even with more parity in basketball.  I always get burned trying to pick out that upset of the year.  Normally I would have a 12 or 13 seed in the Sweet 16 but that's not good to do when trying to get points for money.

It's nice to see that he took his time filling this out. I'm kidding, he's running his own business so he's a busy dude. Anyways, it looks like a pretty good bracket for the most part. I have a hard time believing that any Bill Self coached team will win the National Championship, but Kansas is very talented. There is an interesting USC/Wisconsin matchup in the second round that he went with USC in that surprises me since Hoosiernation is a Big Ten fan. We'll see how this turns out, do you guys have any thoughts?

You are right on with the Bill Self comment. He's done nothing but choke in the tourney when he has great talent. But after watching them play great team basketball this year and couple that the the outstanding player talent, this could be his year to break out of the slump. Billy Donovan once had the same problem of having great talent and no results. He overcame the disappointments to win 2 championships. I just don't place much value on Big Ten teams this year. I think more dynamic teams will give them problems. When IU hunts for a coach this year, I hope they go after someone that will put a dynamic team on the court. MSU used to be that way but have fallen off recently. Now we have a conference full of grind it out coaches and teams.

Kansas is without a doubt one of the most talented teams in the country. I nearly picked them as my champs.
