I won't be around these parts tomorrow since I'll either be A) working over at YAYSports, B) in a dental appointment, or C) dealing with a snow tornado that's about to hit South-Central Indiana. So....you get my Super Bowl prediction today. I forgot to send out an email to the rest of the guys asking what their predictions are (pain), so hopefully they'll chime in on the comments section. Please, please give your prediction as well so I'm not the only one who gets predictions wrong...... Patriots 41 - Giants 10 --- I think Belichick and the Pats have been looking forward to this game all season and there is no way they are going to have a let down. The Giants might get off to a good start, but the Pats will pile on the points and close them out just after halftime.
I'm in one of those matrix type pools where you take the last number of each teams score at the end of each quarter and whoever has those numbers wins some loot. My numbers are Giants - 6 and Pats - 1.
Therefore, I'm going to give you my quarter by quarter break down.
1st Quarter: Pats - 21, Giants - 6
2nd Quarter: Pats - 31, Giants - 6
3rd Quarter: Pats - 31, Giants - 16
4th Quarter: Pats - 41, Giants - 16
So, you see the Pats win......and so do I four time over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's going to be like $500 in my pocket right there.

as much as i don't want it to happen, i don't see how the pats lose this game. i think the week off helps their old-ish defense and brady's gimpish (supposedly) ankle. plus, it saps a bit of the momentum that the giants had going.
plus, plaxico burress doesn't know how to STFU.
i think it'll be close, only because the pats always play close superbowls, and if nothing else, the giants have a lot of pride.
35-30, pats.
let the disgusting 'greatest team ever' talk begin (or rather, resume).
Maybe I'm alone on this, but I didn't have a problem with Plaxico's comments. He was asked if he thought his team would win. Did you want him to say no? As for giving the score, who cares? It's not so brash and crazy to say you're going to win, and to me, it falls short of a "we want the ball, and we're gonna win" kind of guarantee. Besides, his quotes afterward hit the nail on the head--this is entertainment, and he was having fun with it.
This week between the conference championships and the Super Bowl is ripe with this kind of stuff, because the sports reporters have nothing better to do than jump all over every little "story" they can find.

he's said all kinds of crazy stuff over the course of his career. one of the more annoying traits about the patriots is that completely non-existant chip on their shoulder. saying stuff like "our receivers are better than theirs" and "we're going to win 23-17" is only going to serve as bulletin board material.
I just hope Burress is right about the score. He probably isn't, but I put money on the Giants anyway, because the payout is going to be great if they can pull it off. And if they can't, oh well. I only bet money I can afford to lose.

This a nightmare match-up if you're a Jets fan. I'll be rooting for the Giants for the first time in my life, but I think they'll fall short.
Pats 34, Giants 21.
i'd like to revise my prediction:
giants 28, pats' cameramen 35
