 I'm going to go ahead and apologize for the pictures now......but, the Lakers and Celtics turned back the clock last night as the Lakers went with the 'short shorts', the Laker Girls went with spandex outfits and the Celtics.....beat up the the Lakers. Normally, I think 'turn back the clock' nights can be pretty cool, but not in this case. Very, very bad decision.

I'm kind of wondering how this all went down...Did someone in the Lakers front office decide that it would be a good idea to have the players out there looking like fools for the first half of the game? Did they really think those 'dancers' would look good in spandex? If I bought a ticket to that game I would have A) demanded a full refund and B) not left until they gave me a pair of those shorts......to give to my Dad for his birthday. That is where the negotiations would have started.
On a side note, I'm out of here for the day (probably)....so, I/we wanted to take a moment to wish you all a Happy New Year. If it looks like your buddy is going to throw-up before midnight, by all means sit him down in the darkest corner of the bar so that you can still get that kiss at midnight from the lady you've had your eye on. Please be safe out there and take a cab instead of driving because even though you may be sober, the guy on the other side of the road may not be. It's better for the cab to get demolished instead of your vehicle. We'll be back in a couple of days with some stuff that will totally blow your mind.*

2008 Cubs Preview
I guess I'm one of the few who thinks that the long shorts the guys wear these days are just ridiculous. They look so stupid. The short shorts of the 80s are too short, but there has to be a compromise, or these guys will soon be wearing pants.
You are right. If you look back to how the Bulls wore them when MJ played, everyone thought they were too long. If you compare them to today though, they are way short. The NBA does have a dress code for shorts, so they are keeping an eye on it, but I think players get away with a lot.
