Wells Gone Dry

Wells Gone Dry The problem with making decisions is that they always affect other people. Sometimes in good ways, sometimes in bad ways. Regardless, decisions have to be made or nothing would ever get accomplished. Tony La Russa is faced with such a decision after an embarrassing Cardinals loss at the hands of the Kansas City Royals last night.

Kip Wells pitched all of 1 1/3 innings while allowing 6 runs and left the usually stellar bullpen unprepared at the hands of the ruthless Royals lineup (HA). Wells is now 2-11 on the year and is trying his best to make La Russa's decision a simple one. And a simple decision it is. La Russa only has one choice, and that is to take Wells out of the rotation and the clubhouse. He needs to send Wells somewhere! To Memphis, to another team, home, to the dry, parched Djiboutian well above. I don't care as long as it is not on the Cardinals major league ball club. The Dave Duncan Reclamation Project has failed this time around and it is time to cut ties. Cut him and bring up Reyes from Memphis, bring up me, bring up anyone not named Kip Wells. Enough is enough.

I kept looking for your name to pop up on the recent draft list, but unfortunately, yet again you remain without a MLB home...when will they realize just how much talent this small town kid from the middle of nowhere has? I'm writing your name in on the All-Star ballot this year...actually that poses an interesting question. If you got enough people to actually write your name in on the ballot, would it count?

I'm guessing this revolution you are starting would be pointless. I'd say that since I'm not a card carrying member of the players union I'd get the axe. It's just a shame, it really is.
